In a time of War, this WWIII, civil liberties are being set aside, stereotype and hate crimes are on the rise, and I am for peace not war.  I went to Vietnam; I saw war; It is not a solution. Violence begets more violence. I am for Peace. That is my slant. 

Susan Sontag (2001), puts it this way, "The disconnect between last Tuesday's monstrous dose of reality and the self-righteous drivel and outright deceptions being peddled by public figures and TV commentators is startling, depressing. The voices licensed to follow the event seem to have joined together in a campaign to infantilize the public. "

Position Papers on Post-11 Spectacle:

• Boje (October 4, 2001). What does it mean to be anti-sweatshop and anti-globalism in the Post-11 World? This is an example of using the eight steps of deconstruction to explore and hopefully move beyond the influences of the good versus evil and countless other Western logic dualities.

• Boje (October, 2001) presentation in Netherlands: Before the Story Can be Told: An Antenarrative of the World Trade Center and Pentagon Disaster; As the post-11 Event unfolds and does its self-organizing multi-narrating, there is a total transformation of the global political economy.  We are moving rapidly from peace to war military industrial complex. Every social and political cause is revising its idea system in post-11 rhetoric.  This Event is having an influence on counseling NMSU students in post-traumatic stress and trauma. 

• Boje's (October 2001) presentation for Goa, India: VEGETARIAN CAPITALISM - "Vegetarianism is the opposite of terrorism" - latest effort to put the concepts of a non-violent, Ahimsa capitalism into words, and talk of what would managing and organizing look like. Relates to new influence theories for a veggie political economy - Skip if you are anti-veggie.
